Cryptotympanini is a tribe of cicadas in the family Cicadidae. They are found in the Nearctic, Palearctic, Indomalaya, Oceania, and Afrotropics.[1]

- "Lyristes" is a junior synonym of Tibicen Latreille, 1825. However, it has been proposed that the former be given priority in nomenclature, and this case is currently pending. See the page for the genus.
