Glen Iris railway station

Glen Iris railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Glen Iris, and it opened on 24 March 1890.[1]

The line through the station was electrified in December 1922.[2]

In 1970, boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the High Street level crossing, located at the Down end of the station, with the signal box abolished around the same time.[1]

The current station building was opened in 1975,[3] with parcel facilities abolished at that time.[4]
