K. R. Achar

K. R. Achar (1894–1976) was an Indian politician, member of parliament, and member of the Karnataka Legislative council.[1][2][3]

Early life

Achar was the Supervisor of the Salt Satyagraha Camp at Mangalore in 1930. He was Secretary, Taluk Congress Committee and District Congress Committee. He was also vice-president of the South Kanara District Congress Committee. He also became the President of the Lalita Kala Mandali, Mangalore, South Kanara Natya Kaolthsava Samiti, Journalists Association, Mangalore and South Kanara Master Printers' Association. He was Editor of Rashtrabandhu and Kannada weekly.[4]
