Rebelde (2022 TV series)

Rebelde (English: Rebel) stylized as REBƎLDE is an upcoming Mexican teen drama television series based on the Mexican telenovela of the same name and the Argentine telenovela Rebelde Way directed by Santiago Limón.[1] The series set to premiere on Netflix on 5 January 2022.[2][3][4]

Development

On March 1, 2021, it was reported that Netflix had started the production of Rebelde in Mexico City.[10]

Controversy

In May 2021, actor Sergio Mayer apologized to his cast and followers after his controversial statements in which he admitted hating the RBD band, a project which he is involved.[11]

Marketing

On 22 September 2021, Netflix revealed the first official poster.[12] On 25 September 2021, Netflix revealed the first musical video teaser.[13] On 9 November, the first teaser trailer was released.[14] On 7 December, the official trailer was released.[15]
