Priya, Sakshi and Yasodha's enemy. She was raised as "Roja" in the orphanage adopted father Shanthamoorthy. Chandrakantha and Naveen's close associate, Sakshi, Priya and Jayaseelan's enemy. He is an intelligent, lovable and genuine person and always protects Roja. He loves his wife Roja, because of the latter's innocent character similar to his mother Kalpana and his mother-in-law Shenbagam. He now loves father-in-law Manickam, grandmother Annapoorani because both change positive character and support Roja. He dislikes Sakshi because she betrayed his best friend Venu by pretending to love him, thus causing his suicidal death and bad girl.   • Masquerading as "Fake Anu", who wants to marry Arjun's brother Ashwin save herself from murder charge of Baiya Ganesh case, drive Roja from the house and enjoy the wealth of Tiger Manickam and Annapoorani. She is a cunning, greedy, money minded imposter, born in criminal and aim to rich life, and a corrupted girl and cheating person. She had stolen Roja's identity and pretends to be the real heir to Tiger Manickam's and Annapoorani's wealth. She dislike Arjun because enemy Roja's husband and best friend Sakshi's enemy. She is Sakshi, Jayaseelan, Balu and Yasodha's close associate, Sakshi's best friend, Roja, Arjun and Kalpana's enemy, Baiya Ganesh's ex lover. (Main Antagonist)

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in India, Roja and all other Indian television series and films production were suspended from 19 March 2020.[4] Three months later, shooting was permitted and the team commenced filming in July.[5] The show commenced telecasting new episodes on 27 July 2020.[6] With the increase in COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu, the production was once again suspended in mid-May 2021 for a few weeks.[7][8]

Initially aired at afternoon 3:00 PM IST, good response for it made the channel change it to prime time of 9:00 PM IST in early 2019 but was soon shifted within three months to 7:00 PM IST. However it was again shifted to 9:00 PM IST in week 21 of 2021.[4][12][13]

The News Minute criticised, "Roja on Sun TV perhaps has the stupidest of characters. The heroine, who grew up in an orphanage and is often ridiculed by her husband's grandmother for it, is encouraged by her husband to educate herself. She even appears for an exam, but that isn't apparently enough to read papers before signing it. She believes she is being gifted a land for the orphanage she grew up in, but is actually giving away her land. The husband is even more clueless. A renowned criminal lawyer, he forgives the other woman who tries to kill his wife, like EVERY SINGLE TIME! Why?! Because he is working on a bigger case which will trap her (incidentally a murder case), but the case never comes up ever. The serial has its own share of superstitions, too. Every third week, the MIL or DIL would be doing a votive offering or penance, and in some cases, these are outright bizarre – like several episodes ago, the heroine was made to walk with slippers made of nails, with her eyes blindfolded (why is she not in any Olympic event?). And in most cases, the goddess descends for even the smallest of prayers (like making some murukkus) and helps out!.[34]
