Tsalka Municipality

Tsalka (Georgian: წალკის მუნიციპალიტეტი, Ćalḱis Municiṕaliťeťi; Greek: Δήμος Τσάλκας; Armenian: Ծալկայի Շրջան, romanized: Tsalkayi Šrǰan) is a district of Georgia, in the region of Kvemo Kartli. Its main town is Tsalka.

Politics

Tsalka Municipal Assembly (Georgian: წალკის საკრებულო) is a representative body in Tsalka Municipality. currently consisting of 45 members. The council is assembles into session regularly, to consider subject matters such as code changes, utilities, taxes, city budget, oversight of city government and more. Tsalka sakrebulo is elected every four year. The last election was held in October 2017.[4]
