Gameplay
Format
Under the original format, the contestant can eliminate one or two mystery singers after each round. The game concludes with the last mystery singer standing that depends on outcome of a duet performance with a guest artist.[7]
Rewards
If the last mystery singer is a good singer, the contestant wins a cash prize of €10.000. On the other hand, if the last mystery singer is a bad singer, the same amount is given to that singer instead.
Rounds
There are seven individuals of mystery singers standing on a platform to keep identities concealed until the "stage of truth" performance.
- First impression (German: Erster Eindruck)
The guest artist and contestant are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance. - Lip sync (German: Das Playback)
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to their own voices while bad singers mime to the voices of others. - Fact or fake (German: Fakt oder Fake)
A proof of each mystery singer's singing ability (i.e. photo, video, certificates, etc.) is shown on the screen. - Cross-examination (German: Kreuzverhör)
The guest artist and contestant must have then 60 seconds to interrogate the remaining mystery singers before making the final decision.
