Lüləsaz

Lulasaz (Azerbaijani: Lüləsaz; Armenian: Լուլասազ) or Varnkatagh (Armenian: Վարնկաթաղ) is a village de facto in the Martakert Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh, de jure in the Tartar District of Azerbaijan. The village has an ethnic Armenian-majority population, and also had an Armenian majority in 1989.[2]

Toponymy

The village was known as Hakob Kamari (Armenian: Հակոբ Կամարի; Russian: Акоп Камари, romanized: Akop Kamari) during the Soviet period.[3]

History

During the Soviet period, the village was a part of the Mardakert District of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.

Demographics

The village had 68 inhabitants in 2005,[4] and 95 inhabitants in 2015.[1]
