2021 Holiday Bowl

The 2021 Holiday Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on December 28, 2021, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. local PST) on Fox.[3] It will be the 43rd edition of the Holiday Bowl, and will be one of the 2021–22 bowl games concluding the 2021 FBS football season. Sponsored by financial services company San Diego County Credit Union, the game will be officially known as the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl.

This will be the first Holiday Bowl played at Petco Park. The previous home of the Holiday Bowl, SDCCU Stadium, was demolished in 2021 to make way for a new stadium.

Teams

The bowl will feature NC State of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and UCLA of the Pac-12 Conference. This will be the third meeting between the two programs, with UCLA holding a 2–0 edge in previous meetings, the most recent occurring in 1960.[4] This will be NC State's first trip to the Holiday Bowl. This will be UCLA's second trip to the Holiday Bowl, having lost the 2012 edition to the Baylor Bears.

UCLA enters the bowl with an 8–4 record overall, and a 6–3 record in Pac-12 play. The Bruins finished in second place in the conference's South Division, tied with Arizona State.
